Rania and Nikos, 3rd generation bookbinders, will show you how the traditional handmade bookbinding is done. The purpose of the workshop is to get acquainted with the book as an object, its history and its crafts. Handmade traditional bookbinding offers specialized knowledge, experiences, new skills. The workshop will be about case bookbinding with hard cover. The binding of the book includes sewing of the leaves and creates a book with great durability. Sewing is the basis of bookbinding. The workshop is experiential and everyone who participates will bind their own book.
