Olga Grasnowa talks to Alessandra Iadicicco about her novel God is not shy
Amal and Hammoudi are young, beautiful, privileged and believe in the revolution going on in their country: Syria. Whilst actor Amal comes to the fore of the Syrian secret service Hammoudi, who studied medicine in Paris and has to renew his passport back home, will never get back to France. Their flight brings them via Lebanon, Turkey, Greece and Serbia to Berlin in Germany; violence, brutality and humiliation their steady companions.
