Programme

The history of Ise Frank, wife of Bauhaus founder, architect and educator Walter Gropius who helped shape the perception of Bauhaus School of Design far beyond Europe. Coming from a wealthy Jewish background and being trained in bookselling Ise acted not only as secretary, editor, organizer and ‘equal partner’ for Gropius but through her journalistic work made sure that the ground-breaking ideas of Bauhaus were not forgotten after its forced closure in 1932.
