Vassiliki Kartsiakli was born in 1983 in Trikala and has been living in Thessaloniki since 2001. She graduated from the History and Archaeology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued with postgraduate studies in Byzantine Archaeology and Art. She also studied Greek Palaeography and Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art. She has worked as an archaeologist for the Ministry of Culture, at Telloglion Fine Arts Foundation, and has cooperated with the research committee of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for research programmes. Since 2013, she is a certified tourist guide (AUTH) and a founding member of the cultural company dot2dot, where as Head of Research, Planning and Implementation she develops themed and experiential tours as well as educational programmes.
