Edition Bracklo is an award-winning, small, independent publisher focusing on multicultural picture books and bilingual kamishibai storycard sets. Gabriela Bracklo, its founder, travels the world, finding culturally diverse, yet universally valid picture book gems, folktales and storytelling traditions, to introduce them to German speaking children and adults. Each new book with its individual illustration style and cultural background adds to this wide range of intercultural experiences, for example from Japan, Indonesia, China, the USA, Catalonia, Latvia and Syria. It widens perspectives, enriches lives and creates friendships - not only tolerance - among children of all backgrounds early on. Recently traditional German tales and innovative illustrated stories by young German artists were published, that now find their way out to children and families in other parts of Europe and the world.
