Kirsten Fabinski (*1973) founded the design studio "von Zubinski" in the Labor Ateliergemeinschaft together with Zuni Fellehner in 2001. They develop materials for cultural education and museum education, illustrate for newspapers and magazines and love character design. Many of their works have been awarded and published internationally.

The Labor Ateliergemeinschaft is an association of six freelance illustrators, graphic designers and authors in Frankfurt am Main. The members are: Anke Kuhl, Jörg Mühle, Zuni Fellehner and Kirsten Fabinski (von Zubinski), Philip Waechter and Natascha Vlahovic. 
In this composition, they have been working on their own projects for many years, but also perform as a community. The group has become known through its successful activity books, exhibitions and workshops.
