His Excellency Ali AlAhmed served as United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Germany and non-resident Ambassador to Croatia on 2015. On 2019 he was appointed as ambassador to France in 2019 and non-residence Ambassador to Monaco. In addition of been Ambassador to France , AlAhmed served as Permanent delegate of the United Arab Emirates UNESCO.
Presently Ambassador AlAhmed is heading Strategic Communication in Ministry of Foreign Affaires and International Cooperation.
Prior to his diplomatic posting in Berlin Ambassador Ali Abdulla AlAhmed was the Director of the European Affairs Department in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation looking after bilateral relations between the UAE and the different European countries. Before embracing a diplomatic career, Ali AlAhmed held major positions in the field of Media and Communications. He was the Chief Planning and Strategy Officer to Etisalat, the biggest telecommunication company in the UAE, which operates in 19 countries with more than 185 million customers. In this position, he supported the company’s strategic development to enter major markets in Africa and Asia. Between 2002-2008 AlAhmed worked as Director of Abu Dhabi Television. He was responsible for Emirates Media’s bouquet of television channels across the genre of news, sport, and entertainment. In this function, he also looked after the opening and operations of news bureaus and the coverage of major international events like the Iraq war in 2003.
H.E Ali AlAhmed graduated in Business Administration from the Eastern Washington University in the United States. Subsequently, he received his Master’s degree in Strategies and Security Studies from the UAE National Defense College in 2014.
