Nicol Ljubić
Nicol Ljubić was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1971. The son of an aviation engineer, he grew up in Sweden, Greece, Russia and Germany. He works as a freelance author and journalist and has received numerous awards for his books and reports, including the Theodor Wolff Prize, the Adelbert von Chamisso Prize, and the ver.di Literature Prize. To date, he has published seven books of fiction and non-fiction. In 2014 and 2016 he was the initiator of the European Writers’ Conference along with writers Mely Kiyak, Antje Ravic Strubel and Tilman Spengler and German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
