Michaela Škultéty focuses on contemporary German-language literature for children and young adults. She is the winner of the 2014 IBBY Honourlist for the Czech Republic for her translation of the novel Tschick by Wolgang Herrndorf, as well as the Golden Ribbon for books for children and young adults. She has long-term collaborations with the Prague Literature House and the Goethe-Institut. In 2019, she published her own book entitled Das Leben und andere Unregelmäßigkeiten [Engl. Life and Other Irregularities].
