Shaikha Mohamed Almehairi is a librarian and educator with a BA in English language and Literature and a MEd in educational leadership. She worked as a teacher of the English language for 11 years in the Ministry of Education then worked as a librarian and instructor in Zayed University for 7 years. She worked after that for a development agency for AL Dhafrah region to promote employment for young people and work with the community for housing and women empowerment. She moved to the Department of Culture and Tourism in 2011. She worked as a head of library public services, then the librarian for the Cultural Resources Center then become the Library Department Director since 2017. She is interested in employee development in the workplace, reading and children literature, collection development and library technology.
