Founded in Hamburg in 1956 by Ragnar Tessloff, the company published the first-ever children’s and youth books in Germany. TESSLOFF has been a leading children’s non-fiction publisher since then. The programme ranges from activity books for babies, educational kindergarten, pre- and primary school books for children, to answer books and knowledge-based book series. The successful brand WAS IST WAS includes book series for three different age ranges as well as puzzle books and audio plays.
