Daniel Beskos is co-founder of the Hamburg-based publishing house Mairisch Verlag and also works as a translator, presenter and event organiser. In 2013, he invented Indiebookday, and since 2015 he has been a co-organiser of the Hamburg literature and music festival HAM.LIT. He is on the board of Kurt Wolff Stiftung, the German association of independent publishers.
