León Schellhaas is a children's book publisher. Together with Teresa Mossbauer, he runs the independent publishing house ACHSE Verlag, based in Vienna. ACHSE books are characterized by diverse messages, creative illustrations and high-quality book designs and production. In his day-to-day work as a publisher, León enjoys long-term planning, changing plans at short notice and all kinds of working with text. As part of the project CREATING NEIGHBOURHOOD, co-financed by the European Union, ACHSE Verlag focuses in particular on children's book translations from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, and Hungary.
