Vratislav Šlajer graduated from the production department of FAMU in Prague and has over 20 years of experience in producing TV, film, and digital content. He founded Bionaut in 1999, a company that produces features, TV series, documentaries, and animated films. He has won numerous awards including the International Emmy Award for #martyisdead, the Czech Lion and Czech Film Critics Award for the film Pouta(Walking Too Fast), and the Czech Lion for the TV series Mamon with HBO Europe and Svět pod hlavou(Shadow of the Ferns) with Czech TV. He is a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, European Film Academy, Czech Film and Television Academy, Audiovisual Producers Association and prestigious ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Europeén) network. He was awarded Producer on the Move at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002.
