After completing a master's degree in Literary Translation in 2011, Justine Coquel published her first translation from German with Jacqueline Chambon. She took part in the Goldschmidt Programme in 2014 and the École de Traduction Littéraire (ETL) in 2021. She translates fiction, thrillers, comics and manga for various publishers.
