We are the leading publisher of the German capital. Our list includes hundreds of titles on Berlin. And we publish extensively on history and culture outside Berlin. Since 1995, we have built up a reputation as an independent publisher of popular non-fiction on the fields of history and culture in Berlin and beyond. We have about 300 titles in print, we publish around 60 books per year. In 2021, Dirk Palm has taken over BeBra from the founder Ulrich Hopp. In the following year, BeBra and BeBra Wissenschaft moved their offices to Asternplatz in Berlin-Lichternfelde, were Palm’s Elsengold Verlag was already situated. Knowledgeable authors, current topics and a state-of-the-art book design are of prime interest for us. In 2021, we have won the Deutscher Verlagspreis (German Publishing Prize). In the fall of 2024, we have added some more high-end publications to our Berlin List, amongst others on Berlin Cocktails and an Prussian Cuisine.
