Born in Liège in 1947. Philologist (Catholic University of Louvain), teacher, writer, poet, historian. Bruno Kartheuser lives in Neundorf, near St. Vith, in German-speaking Belgium. Responsible for literary activities in the German-speaking Community of Belgium (1991-1995 and 2000-2002). For 35 years director of the semi-annual literary magazine 'Krautgarten' (1982-2017). Member of the PEN-Club of Belgium.
