Mac Hawkins is a literary scout and the founder of Pragmatic, a global, full-service IP scouting consultancy with literary advisory and story development practices. He founded the company in 2010 in New York to help producers, studios, filmmakers and creatives find and acquire exceptional material for screen adaptation. Prior to Pragmatic, Mac worked in representation, editorial, development, and strategy across publishing, film, and television at Paramount Pictures, WME, and HarperCollins. His clients and collaborators at Pragmatic have included major studios, as well as Oscar and Emmy-winning producers, writers, directors, actors and other creatives from the U.S. and internationally.
