Nino Haratischwili

Nino Haratischwili, born in 1983 in Tbilisi (Georgia), is an award-winning novelist. Her great family epic ‘The Eighth Life (For Brilka)’, translated into 30 languages, has become a worldwide bestseller, and a film adaptation is in preparation. Her work has won numerous awards, including the Anna Seghers Literary Prize, the Bertolt Brecht Prize and the Schiller Memorial Prize. Her novel "Die Katze und der General" (untranslated) has been shortlisted for the German Book Prize 2018. The author  lives in Berlin.
