Anna Sommer (*1968) lives and works as a freelance comic artist and illustrator in Zurich. Her illustrations and graphic novels appear in various publications and publishing houses. She regularly exhibits her paper cut-outs in solo and group exhibitions. Most recently in the exhibition ‘La Bande desinée à tous les étages’ at the Centre Pompidou. In 2023, the pictorial narrative Tinte was published by Edition Moderne in German and by FRMK in French under the title L'Encre. In 2024, Anna Sommer was awarded the prestigious Max und Moritz Prize for best German-language comic artist.
