A solidarity demonstration to draw attention to the situation of Boualem Sansal, Franco-Algerian writer and winner of the German Publishers and Booksellers Peace Prize (2011), who has been imprisoned in Algeria since November 16, 2024. Boualem Sansal's situation raises crucial questions related to freedom of speech, human rights, and the political climate in Algeria. His arrest has sparked a wave of international solidarity, particularly from Europe, with a Resolution signed in the European Parliament as well as support from the public, writers, publishers, and institutions. This action is vital to maintain pressure and remind everyone that literature and critical thought cannot be silenced.
