Every child knows feelings of fear, joy, anger and sadness. Kathrin Schärer gives a face to 30 emotions in expressive animal pictures: a meerkat stands resolutely on a diving board: he is courageous. A stoat jiggles nervously from one foot to the other in the queue: she is impatient. Two piglets stare at a ghost with their eyes open and their mouths wide – they are terrified. A little bear shyly hides behind his mother. In an offended pose, a chameleon crosses its arms. Angrily the rabbit stomps his paw.
A treasure chest of emotions, in which even the smallest readers can discover and recognise, name and distinguish feelings.

NO! Piggo doesn’t want to get up! It’s cosy and warm in bed. That’s how it all starts. Because Piggo has to get up. At least that’s what Mum says. And get dressed. And eat his porridge. And brush his teeth. But Piggo doesn’t want to. Not one little bit. No! No! No! No matter what Mum says or how much she scolds. But Mum keeps quiet and puts Piggo on the back of her bike. Without his jacket and gumboots. They arrive at kindergarten much too late. And then Mum leaves again very quickly. Piggo’s tummy is rumbling and he’s cold too. Saying no isn’t any fun at all today! Will Mum come back soon? Yes, there she is! And finally, she takes Piggo into her arms!

All about the power that drives us...
All about the power that drives us
We encounter energy everywhere: when we turn on the light, ride a bike or heat our homes. But what actually is energy? How is it generated? How does it get to us and what environmentally-friendly alternatives are there for the generation and use of energy in the future? This illustrated non-fiction book explains the most important principles and shows us that although energy is ever-present in everyday life, we should not waste it. A book for children from the age of 8 and for the whole family.

The mouse is planning something big: she wants to bake a cake for the crocodile as a birthday present. She has set her sights high – after all, the cake has to be big and the mouse is small. And besides, it has to be the best cake in the world. Fortunately, the bear helps out. In the end, the dough is not quite perfect and so the mouse gathers together all the goodies she can think of. She's so loaded up that she can't see anything and trips over the cord of the mixer. Everything ends up in the dough. Oh my! What a silly mistake. The mouse is furious. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with the cake anymore. She doesn’t want anything at all anymore.
But the bear puts the dough in the oven, loads the finished cake, including the mouse, onto his motorcycle and off they go to the birthday party. The mouse is anxious: will anyone eat her cake?
A fast-paced story which shows that mistakes sometimes lead to an unexpectedly positive outcome; amazing illustration technique that combines the traditional look of linocut with digital processing.

In the village on the edge of the canyon, there is never a dull moment. Nightwalkers (zombies), bangers (monsters) and other dangers threaten the peace, but the villagers know how to defend themselves, however, they are not armed against the pranks of Nano, the son of the village protector Primo. Nano loves to play tricks on the villagers, which leads to many exciting adventures. But this time he takes it too far and causes chaos in the village: The snow golem he built devastates the entire village! To remain undiscovered and escape punishment, Nano and and his best friend Maffi hide in a boat that suddenly drifts out to sea without a rudder! The two are stranded on an island, which is not as deserted as it seems at first. Because when it gets dark, the familiar Minecraft monsters crawl out of the caves. Maffi and Nano must now find a way to escape the monsters and, of course, find their way back home. In the end, they succeed with the help of a stranger, but when they arrive in the village, no one believes what they have experienced. Everyone thinks the adventure they have had is just a fictional story.
"(...) convinces with a lot of action, humor and cool illustrations in the the familiar Minecraft look. The perfect mixture for all fans of the computer game and of adventure stories!" Kufsteinblick

Even very young children can sometimes develop a life-threatening illness. One of the ways parents can support their children is to talk to them about the illness and ways to treat it. This book extends a helping hand to sick children and their relatives: with perceptive metaphors, a dash of poetry, and a generous helping of hope.

13-year-old Noël is a magnet for bad luck: not only are lots of things going wrong at home and at school, he also seems to attract everything that scratches and bites. On a school ski trip, a black bear the size of the Hulk tries to eat him. And one day, a rat lures him onto a container ship that takes him to the Boarding School of Evil Animals in the Secret Islands. Only the best of their species are accepted here: regal leopards, poisonous scorpions and savage sharks. However, special boys like Noël are accepted as well, provided they pass the tough entrance exam.
