Book World Prague is an international book fair and literary festival and the biggest celebration of books in the Czech Republic with around 400 exhibitors. On 4 days, 60 000 visitors are expected at more than 400 events.
This year, German-speaking literature is guest of honour in Prague on the occasion of Franz Kafka’s 100th death anniversary. Renowned German, Austrian and Swiss authors are invited in the framework of DAS BUCH literary programme organized by Goethe-Institute, Österreichisches Kulturforum and the Swiss Embassy in Prague – discover the authors and events under this link: Unsere Gäste 2024 - Das Buch (goethe.de).
Frankfurter Buchmesse is in charge of the German Stories collective stand with more than 40 registered publishing houses and cultural organizations from Germany and Switzerland and various book collections covering a wide range of topics.
On 23 and 24 May, Book World visitors are invited to join our professional programme of events: panels, talks and networking formats with international publishing experts offer inspiration and insights on deep reading, slow publishing, foreign rights, trends in the children’s books sector, and best practices for book to screen adaptions. These professional events are organized jointly by Frankfurter Buchmesse and its Czech partners: Book World Prague, CEEBM – Central and Eastern European Book Market, and CzechLit.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the German Stories stand in Prague!
