Following a break of more than ten years, in 2022 we are once again planning to have a German collective stand at Book World in Prague. Czech publishers are showing a lot of interest in licensed titles, particularly from Germany. Our co-exhibitors at the "German Stories" stand are German-language publishers of children's and young adult books, literary and non-fiction publishers, and cultural institutions, as well as organisations that promote the translation of literature from Flemish and Latvian under the motto "Stories from Europe".
In the accompanying programme, we’ll focus on best practices for independent publishers, the promotion of translations in Europe, and strategies for success in the children's book sector. We are working closely with our local partners, the fair organiser Svět knihy, the Goethe-Institut, and the Czech literary centre CzechLit, who will help publicise the German presence at the fair.
